During the previous meeting between these two teams Specman was left injured in Bloemfontein with a concussion after attempting to tackle his opposite number, Angelo Davids.

Specman trained with the Cheetahs on Tuesday morning and can be expected to start on the wing along with Daniel Kasende.

Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that it’s good to have 'Specmagic' back.

“He always brings a lot of energy and we missed that", said Fourie.

“We game Malcolm Jaer a go in that game in he played well in the match before Western Province.

“Speckies came off the bench and I don't think he was even on the field for three minutes before having to come off with a concussion. Hopefully this week he will be able to play for the full eighty minutes.

“He hasn't played a lot of rugby this year, so it will be exciting to see him back.

“The team needs him, his energy, his x-factor and his ability to score tries out of nothing will mean a lot to us.”

Friday evening’s game between the Province and the Cheetahs at the Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 17:45.
