Arnoldi has been named on the bench for the game against the Irish giants, with the seasoned campaigner, JJ Kotze, named in the starting role.

Deon Fourie will however remain at flank for the game.

This comes as the Stormers have experiencing a crisis in the hooking department and Arnoldi linked up with the team on a loan deal.

Stormers coach, John Dobson, said Arnoldi slotted in well at the team.

“He is the sort of the hooker we need,” said Dobson.

“Steven (Kitshoff) can speak about his scrumming, but he throws well.

“What we need is someone like Scarra (Ntubeni) who is good at the setpiece hooker and works hard.

“We've got enough x-factor, so we don't need someone like a Schalk Brits.

“We wanted a hooker who is really good at the setpiece and someone we take pride in.

“He is fit and seems like a nice guy.”

Saturday’s game at the Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 18:15.
