The Peacock Blues beat the Pumas 45-44 on Friday in Nelspruit to finish third overall.

The Bulls in their turn lost 35-5 to the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein to finish the round-robins at the second placed team.

The in-form Griquas centre told OFM Sport that they are up for the challenge.

“We are excited for the challenge and it doesn't matter what team of theirs we have to face.

“If it's going to be the URC side or half of the URC side, we will be ready for that challenge.

“We want to play against the best and we also want to beat the best. The best deserves to play in the final and that is what we are looking forward to. We want to play in the final and we want to go one step further.

“We really look forward to playing in the final next weekend.”

This semi-final has been rescheduled to take place at 19:00 on Friday evening as the Bulls face the Stormers on Saturday in Cape Town in the URC final.
