For the union this is massive - De Beer─── MORGAN PIEK 08:11 Tue, 14 Jun 2022
The excitement is mounting in the Pumas camp ahead of their Currie Cup semi-final against the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
The Pumas will be heading to the City of Roses with renewed confidence after qualifying for the semi-finals for the first time since the team moved from Witbank to Nelspruit.
The Pumas are also charged up after beating the Cheetahs 29-28 the last time they played in Bloemfontein.
The Pumas flyhalf, Tinus de Beer, told OFM Sport that they expect another tough outing.
“There are a lot of guys that haven't even played in a semi-final of the Currie Cup in their careers thus far.
“We know the Cheetahs and we know their team very well. They would have obviously prepped for us as well.
“It's a big game on a big stage. For the union this is massive and for every player at the Pumas it's a massive game on a massive stage to go and present what we can.
“We are really looking forward to his coming Saturday.”
Saturday’s big semi-final at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 13:30.
