The Welsh secured an historic 13-12 win over the Boks on Saturday.

France in their turn beat Japan 20-15 in Tokyo to dethrone South Africa at the summit.

Ireland stunned the All Blacks in Dunedin with a 23-12 victory to rise up to second in the standings.

Springbok flyhalf Handré Pollard, who was the captain in Bloemfontein said that this week is all about setting the record straight.

“You're never going to be satisfied with a loss playing in a Springbok jersey.

“But in general, I'm still positive. I think the guys really showed fight and that's all we ask for.

“It is very disappointing and it will take 24 hours for us to get over it. We'll take a look at the detail and determine where we could've done better.

“We'll learn and come back better next week. That's all we can do. We’ve got to get back on the horse.”

Saturday’s series deciding Test between the Springbok and Welsh at the Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 17:05.
