Steyn warns that it's tough to play in Australia─── MORGAN PIEK 08:13 Thu, 25 Aug 2022
The Toyota Cheetahs and Springbok centre, Frans Steyn, has warned that Australia is not an easy place to play rugby and win.
The Springboks will want to break their winless streak in Australia when they tackle Wallabies on Saturday in Adelaide in round three of the Rugby Championship.
The Springboks' winless streak Down Under dates back to 2013 when they managed a 38-12 win in Brisbane.
There will be further pressure on the Boks considering their recent 35-23 defeat to the All Blacks in Johannesburg.
The Toyota Cheetahs centre, Frans Steyn, said Australia is never an easy place to play rugby.
“From my Super Rugby days as well, we struggled more here in Australia than in New Zealand. I don't know why, but it just happened.
“We will get our opportunity to do something special. Hopefully, all of us will be switched on and be ready for Saturday.
“I want to perform on Saturday and that's the main thing. As long as I perform on Saturday, I'll be happy.”
Saturday’s Test between the Wallabies and Springboks at the Adelaide Oval kicks off at 07:30.
