The Springbok winger, Canan Moodie, was smiling from ear-to-ear on Saturday following their historic win over the Wallabies in Sydney.
The teenager, Moodie, made his Springbok debut on Saturday to become the second youngest Springbok debutant in the professional era.
Moodie celebrated his debut in fine-style with a 40th minute try during their 24-8 victory at the Allianz Stadium.
Moodie said that he couldn’t have ask to a better start to his international career.
“It was a very special moment,” said the young speedster.
“Just pulling the jersey over my head was amazing. Having an opportunity to score a try on my debut made it even more special. I'm just happy I could contribute to the team.
“It's a great feeling when you realise you've helped your team. You've contributed actual points. It was a very emotional moment for me, particularly being swarmed by the bench.
“I really enjoyed it and the try was a cherry on top.”
The Springboks tackle the Pumas on 17 September in Buenos Aires in their next match.
