The Springbok winger, Rosko Specman, is eager to link up with his new team, the Griquas.

It was announced last week that the 33-year-old Blitzboks legend will join the Peacock Blues after previously playing for the Cheetahs.

Specman’s last game for the Cheetahs was against the USA Falcons in the Toyota Challenge in Bloemfontein. In this match he scored one of his trademark tries that has Cheetahs faithful on their feet.

Specman is still on the Cheetahs' books until the end of this month and will be officially joining Pieter Bergh’s outfit next week.

Specmagic told OFM Sport that he could not wait to join his new team.

"I must say that I am looking forward to this new journey," said the fleet-footed outside back.

"It's an exciting journey for both myself and the Griquas. I look forward to what I can add to the team and to the spirit of their culture as well.

"The people from Kimberley love their rugby and it's something special for me to go where they enjoy and support their home team, win or lose.

"The coach and I have had a chat, and I know that it's not going to be easy. I welcome the challenge, as I'm not just going to the Griquas to pick a number. I like to work for my number in the team.

"I will be there from next week to prepare for the outing in Namibia."

The Griquas' next match is on 5 November against the Welwitschias in Windhoek and Specman is expected to be on debut.
