The Cheetahs arrived in Durban on Thursday and during the captain's run, they got a good taste of what they are looking for.

The humidity in Durban will help them get used to the wet conditions in Europe, and this is something the Cheetahs have been focusing on.

The captain, Victor Sekekete, told OFM Sport that playing against the Sharks is ideal.

"We couldn't have asked for a better opportunity, especially because the Sharks have been playing in the United Rugby Championship and the weather conditions. I think that it's a better simulation of what we will be experiencing come December," said the hard-grafting lock.

"Especially with the weather, we get to face a good quality side. I think that it will be good preparation going into December. We will get what we need from it.

"We had a captain's run and it was a bit dewy, so the ball was wet. It simulates the weather better, so it's going to be a good practice run for us to get the game time in and against quality opposition."
