The Griffons pushed the Sharks in Durban during round one, while last week they stood their ground in the second half against the Cheetahs in Welkom.

The Lions in turn lost their first two games to Western Province at home and away to the Pumas in Nelspruit.

The Griffons' hooker, Dandré Delport, told OFM Sport that for them it’s a matter of putting it all together.

"In the game against the Sharks, we played well in the first half, and then on Sunday against the Cheetahs, we played well in the second half," said the player who played a game against the Cheetahs last year.

"For us it is just important to put everything together and put on a big 80-minute performance.

"We believe in our team and we believe in our systems. We need to put on a big performance and being able to do it at an iconic stadium such as Ellis Park will be a great occasion for us.

"We will certainly give it our all against the Lions."

This afternoon’s game at Ellis Park kicks off at 15:00.
