The Springbok flanker, Oupa Mohoje, will play in his 100th game for the Toyota Cheetahs on Friday night when they tackle the Griffons in the Currie Cup in Bloemfontein.

Mohoje is set to be named in the team that will be named tomorrow as it is somewhat fitting that he will reach the milestone against Griffons.

Mohoje has spent his entire career at the Cheetahs, while from time-to-time he has helped out at the Griffons as a lone player.

Last year Mohoje helped the Griffons to the Currie Cup First Division title which earned them promotion to the Premier Division.

Mohoje told OFM Sport that over the past decade there have been many tears.

“I'm very grateful to have gotten where I am with the Cheetahs, said Mohoje.

“I don't I think would have done it with any other team other than the Cheetahs. It's been a lot hard work and there has been a lot of tears.

“I can most certainly say that the good has definitely outweighed the bad, and I'm privileged to have gone this far.”

In his stay at the Cheetahs, Mohoje has played in every competition from the SuperRugby to the PRO14, Currie Cup and most recently the European Challenge Cup.

The Cheetahs will be naming their team for the match on Thursday and it is expected that their will be changes in order to manage the players workloads.

Friday’s night's Free State derby at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 19:05.
