Olivier has missed most of the Currie Cup thus far after spraying his ankle in Welkom against the Griffons.

Jeandré Rudolph is set to miss out on this week’s action as he is struggling with his knee and he will consult a second specialist.

The Cheetahs assistant coach, Charl Strydom, told OFM Sport that they have missed the physicality that Olivier brings to the party.

“He is a really good ball-barrier and he gets us over the advantage line, said Strydom.

“It's maybe something that we've kind of lacked and we've missed that physicality that he brings to the game.

“It the European Challenge Cup he was the moment dominated tackler in the competition and I think he was ranked in the top ten with his ball-carries in the four games that we played.

“Someone to get you over the gain line is a huge part of the game and we are looking forward to getting him back.”

Olivier is expected to play only one half in the game against the team from the Mother City.

Saturday’s game between the Cheetahs and Western Province at the Toyota Stadium will now kick-off at 13:00.
