Australia will be touring South Africa where they will come up against the Proteas in five ODI’s was as well as three T20 Internationals.

The first two ODI’s will be played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, while the third match will be played in Potchefstroom at the JB Marks Oval, with games four and five set to be played at SuperSport Park in Pretoria and the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

All three the T20I’s will be played at Kingsmead in Durban.

This means that Bloemfontein will play host to four ODI’s in 2023 after they successfully hosted the current World Champions, England, earlier in the year. The Proteas won those to ODI’s at the Mangaung Oval to claim the three-match series. The third ODI was played at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley with the Three Lions claiming a consolation win.

The last time Australia played in Bloemfontein was in March 2020, with the Proteas claiming a wicket win during the 2nd ODI.

This comes as the big boost for Free State cricket, especially seeing that the union will be playing their domestic cricket in Division 2 next season.

The 1stT20I will be played on 30 Augusts, with the 1st ODI locked for 7 September in the City of Roses.
