The Griffons will be desperate to earn just their second win of the Currie Cup when they host the young and exciting Western Province team in Welkom on Friday afternoon.
The Griffons are currently the wooden-spooners in the competition and they have just 8 points from their nine previous outings.
Province in turn are fifth on the log and they are gunning for a semi-final berth and their focus will be on maximum points.
The Griffons hooker, Dandré Delport, told OFM Sport that this afternoon's game is another opportunity.
“It's going to be very important to go and execute,” said the hooker.
“We must go and execute what we've discussed and trained during the week.
“During the previous nine weeks in the Currie Cup, we've learnt a lot and it's important to put all those learnings together in a good performance.
“Having said that, we are looking forward to it, we have been growing as a team and we are just grateful for another opportunity.”
Friday afternoon's match in Welkom kicks off at 15:00.
