'Anything can happen' - Goosen─── MORGAN PIEK 07:51 Thu, 15 Jun 2023
The Bulls will settle for nothing less than a win on Saturday when they face the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein in the semi-finals of the Currie Cup.
The Bulls have missed out on silverware this season in the United Rugby Championship as well as the European Champions Cup.
They see the Currie Cup as their last opportunity to win silverware this season, but first, they need to beat the Cheetahs.
The former Cheetahs flyhalf Johan Goosen who is now playing for the Bulls says that during his playing days in France, he learned that anything can happen in knockout rugby.
“When I played for Racing 92 back then, we made it into the top eight and then we ended up winning the Top14,” says the Springbok.
“With playoff games, you just need that ticket to get into the semi-finals, and anything can happen.
“It has been a tough season, but the vibe is good in the team and the camp, so we are all positive.
“We're working hard for some silverware.”
Saturday’s semi-final between the Cheetahs and Bulls at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
