“One of the challenges that we will definitely face as a pack this coming weekend is the physicality of the French. But, like you said it is one of the big things that we measure ourselves as well and we are really looking forward to that challenge.”

The Springboks are braced for a physical battle upfront when theyface France in Paris on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup.

The Boks will be well-restedand fresh going into the Test, while Les Blues in their turn will have somemomentum following their convincing victory over Italy on the weekend.

The French pack is one of themost dominant in world rugby at this point and this will certainly be a battlethe reigning world champions won’t shy away from.

The towering Springbok lock, RG Snyman, told OFM Sport that they want to measure themselves against the best.

“One of the challenges that wewill definitely face as a pack this coming weekend is the physicality of theFrench, ” said the towering second-rower.

“But, like you said, it is oneof the big things that we measure ourselves as well and we are really lookingforward to that challenge.”

Snyman, who hasn’t played forthe most part after the 2019 World Cup in Japan due to his well-documentedfire-pit incident added that over the last four years it’s the smaller thedetails that they have worked and improved on.

“It's small details and reallybasic things that we've started being sharper and spent more time working on.

“I think even as a pack offorwards were working on the little details like our passing and catchingskills, you know stuff that we don't always work on all that much.

“That's probably the biggestthing we've improved on.”

The Springboks will also keepeverybody guessing with their team selection by only naming their side onFriday. Normally the Boks like naming their match squad early in the week.

Sunday’s quarter-final betweenFrance and the Springboks at Stade de France kicks off at 21:00.
