“He is a very humble guy, down to earth and a very hard worker like all the other players, which they should be if they want to play for the Springboks.”

The Springboks are opting to block out the white noise ahead of Saturday’s Rugby World Cup final against the All Blacks in Paris.

The hot topic heading into the final is the Bongi Mbonambi incident during Saturday’s semi-final against England. The English flanker, Tom Curry, alleged that the Bethlehem-born hooker hurled profanities at him.

However, at this stage there is no concrete evidence, but World Rugby confirmed that they are investigating the allegations.

The Springboks scrum coach, Daan Human, was bombarded with questions about the incident but the former Cheetahs mentor said he has no reason to question Mbonambi’s character.

“He is definitely one of our leaders in the group as well, a great guy,” said the former Springbok prop.

“A great family man and I know his kids always look after my kids when they come to the hotel.

“He is a very humble guy, down to earth and a very hard worker like all the other players, which they should be if they want to play for the Springboks.”

Meanwhile video evidence has emerged where it can be heard that Mbonambi is organising the Springbok defence in Afrikaans and Curry may have misunderstood.

Meanwhile, the three-time champions, the All Blacks are going about their business in preparing for a repeat of the 1995 World Cup final.

The All Blacks are considered to be the favourites to lift the Webb Ellis cup for a record fourth time on Saturday and this is based on their 28-24 win against Ireland in the quarter-finals and the 44-6 victory over the Los Pumas of Argentina in the semi-finals.

The Test will see two teams with two contrasting styles face each other with the All Blacks being a team with more flair, while the Boks will play a traditional power game.

The last time the two teams met it was the Boks power game that led to a 35-7 victory at Twickenham in the World Cup warm-ups.

All Blacks defensive coach, Scott McLeod, said the Boks have also proven that they will fight to the end.

“There are a lot of aspects of our game that are working so that builds belief. It's something we have been working on for quite a while so to see it work under those moments in quarters and semis is very pleasing. It is just about harnessing it now and going again.”

“They are never out of it. They come from a country where they are hardened and they know how to stay in the fight. They showed that at the last World Cup as well.”

On Friday night at 21:00, Argentina will face England in the Bronze final while Saturday’s big final between the Springboks and All Blacks in Paris will also kick-off at 21:00.
