Blitzboks sail through second pool A game with a victory against Canada─── KAYLA BARKER 13:59 Sat, 02 Dec 2023

The Blitzboks have kept their momentum going into their second pool game this afternoon against the Canada 7s, claiming another impressive 35-14 win.
South Africa put points on the board first in this game as Shilton van Wyk opened the scoring at the start of the game. Not long after, Johan Grobbelaar and Selwyn Davids both dotted down and along with Justin Geduld’s conversions, this took the Blitzboks to a clean 21-0 lead at half-time.
The Canadians were determined to take ground in the second half and opened the scoring with a try from Kal Sager. The Blitzboks quickly retaliated with two tries from Quewin Nortje, both converted by Dewald Human.
Canada’s last minute efforts weren’t enough to close the gap but it does help in bringing up their goal difference as a try and conversion from Lachlan Kratz brought the game to a 35-14 close.
The Blitzboks next and final pool game takes place at 18:44 this evening against New Zealand.
