“The experience of playing for the Ospreys has been great for me. I'm enjoying every single part of it and I'm taking it all in. That's so that when I go to my next chapter, I take all of these learnings with me.”

All three Toyota Cheetahs players have been named in the Ospreys starting XV for their United Rugby Championship game against Edinburgh on Friday night.

The Cheetahs captain, Victor Sekekete, as well as the loose forward Jeandré Rudolph and centre Evardi Boshoff are in the run-on side for the clash in Scotland.

Sekekete and Boshoff will both be playing in their second game for the Ospreys after starting against Ulster nearly a fortnight ago, while Rudolph is on debut.

Sekekete told OFM Sport that while they miss the South African weather, they are learning a lot regarding the overseas game.

“We've had two days of sunshine in two weeks, so that's as bad as it gets,” said the Currie Cup-winning Cheetahs skipper.

“I think rugby wise it's been a great experience and I've learnt a lot in the Ospreys system. Seeing how they do things and their approach, especially in wet weather games, which is the most of them.

“The experience of playing for the Ospreys has been great for me. I'm enjoying every single part of it and I'm taking it all in. That's so that when I go to my next chapter, I take all of these learnings with me and share it with other players as well.”

In addition, the former Cheetahs tighthead prop, Tom Botha, will start in the front-row. He is however a settled member at the Welsh outfit after joining them back in 2018.

Friday evening’s game at the Scotstoun Stadium kicks off at 21:35.
