The Springboks scored an emphatic 43-0 win over Wales in their Nations Championship match in Durban on Saturday (18/7) and is comfortably at the top of the Southern Hemisphere log after three rounds of the competition.
The Boks scored seven tries in their 11th consecutive win, while also keeping their clean slate in the new global competition. Rassie Erasmus’ team kept Wales scoreless in the match in front of 40,299 spectators at Kings Park.
Jasper Wiese opened the scoring for the Boks with his fourth Test try thanks to a storming run by his younger sibling, Cobus.
Five minutes in, Vusi Moyo, one of four debutants, all of whom proved their selections to be worthy, kicked his first conversion in Test rugby and the Boks were 7-0 up. The second try came courtesy of Bok veteran Cobus Reinach, with Moyo converting yet again to put the hosts up 14-0 in the first quarter of the match.

Thereafter the match got sloppy, and it took 25 minutes before Jesse Kriel scored his third try in as many Tests this month.
The second half produced a dream start for debutant wing Jaco Williams, who scored his first Test try in the right-hand corner. Erasmus made several changes from the bench after 47 minutes, including subbing Moyo, who was replaced by Manie Libbok.
Kriel came close to scoring a second try, but it was Herschel Jantjies who scored the Boks’ fifth try. With 15 minutes to go, Kurt-Lee Arendse and Paul de Villiers ran in two more tries for the hosts, with Libbok converting the final try for the 43-0 win.
