Baxter expecting to quit Bafana Job─── 07:43 Fri, 02 Aug 2019
Stuart Baxter, on Wednesday, called a press conference to be held on Friday.
Baxter called a press conference for Friday August 2, through his personal agent, Steven Kapeluschnik.
Baxter has been out of the country since his team returned to the country after they exceeded expectations by making the quarterfinals at the African Cup of Nations Tournament which was held in Egypt.
According to sources within the South African Football Association (SAFA), Baxter is expected to step down as the Bafana Bafana coach, despite still having three years left of his contract.
Current Cape Town City Head Coach, Benni McCarthy has been the name whispered in the wind to take over from Baxter.
While the whispers do the rounds with regards to Benni McCarthy, Cape Town City owner, John Comitis, has given McCarthy his blessing to leave the club and take on the Bafana coaching job, should he be offered the job and should he want to take the job.
