English Premiership set to resume on 17 June─── MORGAN PIEK 17:12 Thu, 28 May 2020
The 2019/20 English Premiership season will resume on 17 June . This comes months after the league was suspended due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
This is according to the BBC.
The first two games will be with Aston Villas vs. Sheffield United and Manchester City vs. Arsenal. This is as these four clubs all still have a game in hand.
A full set of fixtures will be played on the weekend of 19-21 June.
With this not confirmed, it is understood all the parties involved have agreed in principle at this stage.
On Wednesday, clubs unanimously voted to resume contact training, having started non-contact training last week.
As it stands there are 92 games remaining in the league, and the leaders, Liverpool, need just two wins in order to secure their first league title in 30 years.
