The English Premiership is well and truly underway again following a full round of fixtures over the weekend.

On Friday evening Southampton thumped Norwich City 3-0, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United played to a one-all draw.

On Saturday, Watford and Leicester City shared points with a one-all draw, while Brighton beat Arsenal 2-1, Wolves beat the Hammer 2-0, and Crystal Palace beat Bournemouth 2-0.

On Sunday, Newcastle beat a ten-man Sheffield United 3-0, Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-1 and the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool ended in a dull goalless draw.

Following the match, Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp, conceded that a derby is always a tough outing and he is happy to take a point form the game.

“The point is one we deserve. Everton were well organised so we had to run a lot but we looked fit and ready.

“Now we've got three days. Crystal Palace looked good on Saturday and we have to make sure we are ready for Wednesday.”

On Monday night at 21:00, Manchester City will host Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool will keep a close eye on this game as if Burnley managed to upset the second-placed City, a will against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening will mean that Reds will win the league for the first time in 30-years.
