Liverpool still needs five points to claim a first league title in 30-years-old and a win on Wednesday is imperative, but it is very far from panic stations.

On Sunday Liverpool were held to a goalless stalemate against the old rivals, Everton, during the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park

Manager, Jurgen Klopp, says a better performance is needed against the Eagles.

“We are fine with our start, but not overly happy.

“Now we have our second game and it would be cool if we could just play our game at the highest level.

“As I said, it will be difficult because Crystal Palace is quality. But, we will have to make it as difficult as possible for Crystal Palace as well.

“That is one of the main things that we thought about.”

Wednesday evening’s game at Anfield kicks off at 21:15.

Meanwhile, at 19:00 there will be four fixtures being contested across England. At the Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton Wanderers host Bournemouth, at Old Trafford Manchester United will be up against Sheffield United, at St James’ Park Newcastle take on Aston Villa, and at Carrow Road, Norwich City entertains Everton.

In Tuesday night’s fixtures, Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 2-0, and Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion ended 0-0.
