They still seem determined to crush anything - Hodgson─── MORGAN PIEK 15:22 Wed, 24 Jun 2020
A total of five English Premiership games will be contested on Wednesday evening in what is the busiest mid-week since the resumption of the league last week.
At 19:00, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be up against Bournemouth at the Molineux Stadium. Over at Old Trafford Manchester United will take on Sheffield United. At St. James’ Park, Newcastle will face Aston Villa and at Carrow Road, Norwich City entertains Everton.
The last game of the evening will be the match between Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
The former Reds manager and current Eagles coach, Roy Hodgson, says there will be no difference between a capacity or an empty Anfield.
“Nothing changes in terms of the opposition, the quality that Liverpool has, the way they play, their organisation.
“They determination also, to keep going despite the fact that they’ve had the league title in their pocket for quite a while. So, nothing is going to change there.
“People sometimes argue that it’s easier to play in empty stadiums.
“For me, as it always is, it’s 22 actors on the field, each trying to his best trying to get a result, and that is all that I can hope for from my team.
“They are so far ahead of us in the table and have had such a fantastic season. It’s basically just a trot to the title as far as they are concerned.
“It is disappointing, I suppose, for teams like ourselves that have to go up and play them, that they don’t show any signs of relenting in any way.
“They still seem determined to crush anything that comes before them. All we can do, really, is try get our game together and put up as good a performance as we possibly can.
This game at Anfield kicks off at 21:15.
