Over the weekend domestic football got underway with the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, and this saw Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns advance to the final.

This evening, the defending champions and second-placed Downs, will host the fourth-placed Orlando Pirates at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.

Buccaneers coach, Josef Zinnbauer, says that the title may just be out of reach and this will ease the pressure somewhat.

“For me, it is important that we prepare the team for next season.

“But we will fight for all points.

“As a coach and as a team, you always want the best. It is normal.

“I came there to join Pirates when they were in 11th or 12th place on the table and now we have grown up and we are in a good position.

“We have no big pressure. Sundowns have to fight for the title and need the points more than us.”

Tuesday night’s game between the Brazilians and Sea Robbers kicks off at 18:00.
