The Citizens can move as high at 7th with a win, while the Brazilians will want to close the gap on the leaders Kaizer Chiefs to three points.

Kick-off in Pretoria in at 18:00.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Bloemfontein Celtic will play in a home game when they face Chiefs at the Tuks Stadium.

On Sunday night Celtic squandered a chance to bury SuperSport United by playing to a 1-1 draw. Celtic took the lead, only to concede a second half freekick which resulted in an equaliser for Matsatsantsa A Pitori.

Phunya Sele Sele coach, John Maduka, said that their decision making on the counterattack could have been better.

“We started the game slow, but as it progressed we improved and started to put the passes together.

“We knew that SuperSport would come at us, but we tried to deny them the space that they wanted.

“They wanted to play behind the defence and we wanted to catch them on the counterattack. We had a few counterattacks but maybe out decision making was not right, but we are happy with the point.”

The former Celtic captain added that player management will be key heading into the game against the league leaders.

“We know that it is going to be a very difficult game. We are going to try and manage the players so that they recover quickly for that game, but we know that it is not going to be easy.

“We will make sure that we recover quickly so that we will be ready for the game.”

Should Celtic beat the Amakhosi they can break back into the top eight.

This game at the University of Pretoria kicks off at 18:00 on Wednesday evening.
