Meanwhile, the PSL has confirmed that Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns will both remain in the bio-safe bubble once the season has been concluded.

This is as they will go head-to-head on 8 September in the final of the Nedbank Cup.

Chairman of the PSL, Irvin Khoza, confirmed the two teams will remain in the bubble for a further week.

“The teams that are in the Nedbank Cup final are going to remain in the bubble after the last league game on the 5th of September.

“They are going to remain in the bubble until the day after the final to make sure that we maintain the protocols that we have agreed to.

“It’s to make sure that there is not kind of complications contrary to what we’ve agreed with the government in the spirit of how we are going this BSE.”

Apart from the R7 million up for grabs for the winner, Celtic, will target a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first, should they beat the Brazilians in the final.
