The pressure will be on Celtic─── MORGAN PIEK 16:35 Mon, 02 Nov 2020
The defending MTN8 champions, SuperSport United, feel that the pressure is on Bloemfontein Celtic heading into this weekends’ second leg of the semi-final.
Yesterday Matsatsantsa A Pitori and Phunya Sele Sele played to a 1-1 draw during the first leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
Celtic do head into the game with a valuable away goal, but they don’t have their diehard fans to bank on at the Slaughterhouse.
SuperSport coach, Kaitano Tembo, told OFM Sport that no Celtic fans is something they as the visiting team welcome.
“Sometimes like Celtic, it’s important for them to have their fans, but at the same time that can also work against them.
“I think they are more relaxed when they play now because they are under less pressure. That is because of the lack of fans.
“Going to Celtic without fans is one place where we would want to go where the situation is that they are going to be playing without their supporters.
“I don’t think that would really give us an advantage because we have been playing like this since the bio-bubble. All the teams are now used to playing without all of their fans.
“So, I don’t think that is such a huge issue for us.”
Saturday’s second leg at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
