The Premier Soccer League side, Bloemfontein Celtic, has landed in Benin for their CAF Confederations Cup first round second leg clash against Rivers United.

The second leg was meant to be played a few weeks ago in Nigeria, however, Celtic could not enter the country due to Covid-19 protocols, and this prompted CAF to move the fixture to a neutral venue.

Celtic jetted off for the continental match straight after their 0-0 draw to Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday evening.

The rescheduling of this match has led to the PSL game between Celtic and TS Galaxy on Saturday being postponed to a later date.

Rivers beat Celtic 2-0 during the first leg in Bloemfontein and this means that Phunya Sele Sele will have to win by three clear goals for an outright victory.

Saturday’s match in Benin kicks off at 17:00.
