City owner to pay supporters' way to final─── MORGAN PIEK 14:32 Wed, 19 May 2021
The owner of Manchester City, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will be paying for the team's supporters to travel to next weekend’s UEFA Champions League final in Portugal.
City will be playing against Chelsea in an all-English final that was originally set to be played in Istanbul.
The final has been moved to Porto instead to make traveling a lot easier.
Sheikh Mansour said due to the clubs' success this season it’s important to have as many supporters as possible attend the final.
“Pep and the team have had such a remarkable season and their reaching the Champions League Final after a very challenging year represents a truly historic moment for the Club.
“It is therefore incredibly important that as many fans as possible have the opportunity to attend this special game.
“Especially those who have supported Manchester City through good and bad times for so many years.”
City and the Blues have each been allocated 6000 tickets for their supporters to travel to the final.
