This comes as the 21-year-old Orlando Pirates midfielder, Goodman Mosele, decided not to report for duty without excusing himself, after receiving a maiden national call-up.

This has prompted the Belgian tactician to give the SuperSport United midfielder, Jesse Donn, a chance and Broos has hinted that he could debut in the coming days.

“I am not disappointed - I am very angry. I don't understand how a player who is set for his first cap for the national team of his country doesn't even come to the camp.

“He didn't call us. We don't know why he's not coming. I can understand that, maybe, the player doesn't want to play for Bafana Bafana, but then he should tell me that.

“I would have to respect that. Everybody is free to decide if he will play or not, but we didn't hear anything from him.

“We tried to reach him and he is unreachable. So, I am very angry with such behaviour from a player who could be an international for his country.”

Ethiopia and Bafana battle it out in Bahir Dar at 15:00 on Saturday afternoon before Tuesday's return leg at the FNB Stadium.
