Orlando Pirates will be looking to end the dominance of Kaizer Chiefs when the two sides clash in the first Soweto derby of the Premier Soccer League season.

The match on Saturday will undoubtably be the game of the weekend in the PSL.

For the past three seasons, the Amakhosi have dominated the fixture, but under the new coach, José Riveiro, the Buccaneers have adopted a much more positive approach.

The Sea Robbers are currently 4th in the standings, while their Soweto rivals are one point behind them in 5th.

Riveiro feels that there is no point in dwelling on the past results.

"It's a different game than the recent ones, for sure," said the Spanish coach.

"It will be one with a new team and new coaching staff in both teams, so I think it's a new story and it will be a new chapter in the beautiful tale between these two big clubs, but instead it is more important to focus on what has been working for them.

"We are going to try and do the things as usual, trying to dominate the game and trying to get the lead as soon as possible and then try and prove the answers that the game is going to ask."

Saturday’s big Soweto derby at Soccer City kicks off at 15:30.
