Gallants dominated the game, which was their first league match at their new home field; however, they were unlucky not to find the back of the next in front of the passionate Siwelele faithful.

Gallants are still, however, anchored at the bottom of the log.

Earlier in the week, Gallants reported in Bloemfontein for the first time after relocating. On Thursday night they played in their first home game when they lost 3-1 to the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

Gallants next game is on Wednesday when they host USM Alger of Algeria in the CAF Confederations Cup. At this stage, it is unknown if this game will be hosted in Bloemfontein or not.

Gallants are currently second in the standings in Group A with 6 points and one shy of USM Alger.

In some of the weekend's other results: Orlando Pirates beat Swallows 4-1, Kaizer Chiefs beat Richards Bay 1-0, Royal AM beat Sekhukhune United 2-1, Cape Town City beat Maritzburg United 2-1 and Stellenbosch held Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-1 draw.
