Bafana Bafana will be making a turn in Bloemfontein later this year in an important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The national men’s football team will host Zimbabwe in the city in June in the second of their qualifiers, which will be a week after traveling to Nigeria to face the Super Eagles.
The national team seldom plays in their Free State and their most famous win in Bloemfontein was during the 2010 FIFA World Cup when they beat the much more fancied France 2-1 in front of a capacity crowd.
The World Cup qualifier between Bafana and Zimbabwe at the Toyota Stadium will be played on 11 June with kick-off at 21:00.
Zimbabwe in turn will face Lesotho at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on 3 June in their first World Cup qualifier. This game is set to kick off at 18:00.
