Bafana Bafana vs. Egypt - Morgan Piek

The fixtures have been confirmed for the 2025 Cosafa Cup, which will kick off in Bloemfontein next week.

South Africa’s fringe players will be in action in the Free State, as the tournament welcomes the Atlas Lions of Morocco for the very first time in the history of the competition.

Matches will be played at two venues in the city – Toyota Stadium and Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium – with most matchdays featuring double-headers, creating a true festival of football for the fans.

South Africa and Zimbabwe find themselves in Group A, alongside last year’s bronze medallists Mozambique and Mauritius.

South Africa are chasing their first Cosafa Cup title since 2021, while Zimbabwe, six-time champions, last lifted the trophy in 2018 – both sides will feel that’s far too long a drought.

The tournament kicks off on Wednesday, 4 June, at Toyota Stadium, with Mauritius facing Zimbabwe at 15:00 in the opening game. That match will be followed by Bafana Bafana vs Mozambique at 18:00.

On Saturday, 7 June, at 12:00, Mozambique will meet Mauritius at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium. Later that day, at 15:00, South Africa will take on Zimbabwe in a much-anticipated fixture.

Bafana Bafana will wrap up their group stage on 10 June against Mauritius, with that clash kicking off at 18:00 at Toyota Stadium.
