Spur is Turning 58 – and they’re sparking joy across South Africa!

This October, Spur is celebrating 58 years of good food, great memories, and bringing people together - and this year, they’re doing it in the most heart-warming way possible!

On 22 October, every Spur restaurant across the country will host a special birthday party for those who don’t always get the chance to be celebrated - because everyone deserves to feel special.

That’s 320 parties and 10 000 smiles lighting up Mzansi in one big Spur celebration!

And here on OFM, we’re joining the fun!

Send your Spur-style birthday shout-out to Spur - big, happy, and full of joy - by sending ‘SPUR’ to 066 050 6830 on WhatsApp and following the steps.

You could win an R1000 Spur voucher for yourself, plus another R1000 voucher for a charity of your choice! And if you’re part of the Spur Family on the Spur App, we’ll throw in an extra R1000 voucher just for you!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

SPUR “SPARK JOY – 58TH BIRTHDAY” COMPETITION

1.  The competition is conducted by Spur Steak Ranches in partnership with Ultimate Media and OFM.

2.  The competition runs from [15 OCTOBER 2025] to [14 DECEMBER 2025], with weekly winners announced on OFM.

3.  To enter, listeners must send ‘SPUR’ to 066 050 6830 on WhatsApp and follow the prompts to submit a Spur-style birthday shout-out to Spur.

4.  Entrants must be 18 years or older and reside in South Africa to qualify.

5.  Each week, one winner will be selected and will receive:

a)  R1000 Spur voucher for themselves, and

b)  A R1000 Spur voucher for a charity of their choice.

c)  If the winner is registered on the Spur App, they will receive an additional R1000 Spur voucher.

6.  Winners will be contacted directly by Ultimate Media and/or the participating station to arrange prize delivery.

7.  When suggesting a charity of their choice, entrants must provide the name, surname, cell number, and email address of a contact person at the selected charity so that Spur can send the voucher directly to the charity.

8.  If valid contact details for the chosen charity cannot be provided, Spur reserves the right to donate the charity portion of the prize to a registered charity of its choice.

9.  Prizes will be dispatched within 6 to 8 weeks of the winner being announced.

10.  Entrants are not eligible to win again within 90 days of winning a prize on the radio station, or if they have won any Spur competition within the past 90 days - even if they are taken to air. All eligibility will be verified prior to prize fulfilment.

11.  Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

12.  By entering, participants agree that their names, voices, and entries (including WhatsApp voice notes) may be used on-air and across Spur and station digital platforms for campaign purposes.

13.  The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

14.  Spur, Ultimate Media, and participating stations reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary due to circumstances beyond their control.

15.  Personal information collected will be processed in accordance with POPIA and used solely for purposes related to this competition.
