Youth Day is all about celebrating the voices, talent, and potential of South Africa’s youth – and this year, OFM gives YOU the chance to step behind the mic!

On Monday, 15 June 2026, the day before Youth Day, OFM will hand the airwaves over to aspiring young broadcasters between the ages of 15 and 24 for a special live broadcast experience.

Have you ever dreamt of being on radio? Think you’ve got what it takes to read the news, present sport, host a show, or entertain listeners live on-air? Then this is your moment. To stand a chance to be selected, Telegram the word “Youth” to 084 222 9497 and follow the prompts.

Whether you’re passionate about broadcasting, storytelling, sport, music, or connecting with people, OFM wants to hear your voice!

Terms and Conditions:

• Entrants must be between 15 and 24 years old.
• Entrants must be South African citizens residing in Central South Africa, including the Free State, North West, Northern Cape, and Vaal areas.
• Travel to and from Bloemfontein will be for the entrant’s own account.
• Accommodation costs will be for the entrant’s own account.
• The live broadcast will take place on Monday, 15 June 2026, at a time and on a show determined by OFM.
• Participation is only guaranteed with the consent of the entrant’s parent(s) and/or guardian.
• By entering, the entrant and their parents and/or guardians, acknowledge that OFM and OFM’s affiliates and/or any affiliated third parties, may have the free use of the contestant’s name(s), voice, image, video, biographical details, and/or likeness; as sourced or generated by OFM, for use on terrestrial, digital/social media platforms, in perpetuity.
• Successful entrants will be notified by Wednesday, 10 June 2026.
