Child Welfare Bloemfontein & Childline Free State Christmas Gift Drop-Off Drive Venue: 54 Aliwal Street, Bloemfontein

3 December 2020

Mid-Morning Magic 09:00 – 12:00 (OFM Outside Broadcast)

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. – Aesop

What a year! Everything has changed but a few things have not, one of them being that children still need care and love and, with Christmas just around the corner, the lack thereof will be more emphasised.

OFM, together with Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State, is calling on listeners to help put smiles on the faces of more children this year. Unwrapped gifts for children, aged between 1 and 18 years, can be delivered to 54 Aliwal Street between 08:00 and 17:00 on Thursday. Mid-Morning Magic with Yolanda Maartens is broadcasting live from the Drive from 09:00.

What should my gift be? Our beneficiaries range in age from newborns to 18 years. 58% are girls and 42% are boys. Most of them are between 10 and 17 years old. Consider this when buying your gift, and please remember the essentials (such as stationery and toiletries). If you would rather like to make a cash donation (to purchase school clothes), it would also be appreciated.

Child Welfare Bloemfontein and Childline Free State is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation concerned with the betterment of society and, in particular, children. They act in the public interest, for the promotion of social welfare and development, and the care and protection of vulnerable children.
