The Madiba Walk/Run for Charity takes place at Goldfields Mall on 18 July 2023.

Funds and food raised on the day will go towards the National Woman's Day project, identifying the neediest families in the Welkom community, and gifting them a food parcel. So, the more you give, the bigger the food parcel!

• Donate non-perishable food as part of your entry fee.
• 10km registered race – R100 (temporary licenses available for R70)
• 5km fun walk – R50 (all ages welcome)
• 2km special route – R50 (seniors and wheelchairs)
• Registration from 12:00 on the day at the Goldfields Mall Info Desk.
• All races start at 17:30 from Entrance 2 (the Rhino entrance).
• Surprise hampers will be handed out for best team participation, best dressed, and funniest outfit,

You can help break all records and make this year’s event Welkom's biggest event ever!

You can also support local Welkom charities Madiba Charity Month at Goldfields Mall with a donation of food, clothing, blankets, baby products, toiletries, or pet products during. Your much-needed support will be greatly appreciated by Blessings Animal Shelter, Amari Skool, Goldfields Family Advice Organisation, Engo, Claws Animal Welfare Shelter, House of Hope, Feral Cats, and Rotary Club of Goldfields Sunset. Donations can be handed in at Goldfields Mall’s Entrance 2.

Please note: on Tuesday, 18 July 2023, Stateway Welkom will be closed from the stop circle to the R30 incoming lane between 17:30 to 19:30 due to the Madiba 67min walk/run for charity.
