The Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) will officially launch its Certificate in Construction Management (CCM) programme in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

Developed in partnership with the University of Johannesburg as part of the cidb B.U.I.L.D programme. This high-impact Short Learning Programme aims to strengthen contractor capability, promote skills development and support sustainable business growth within South Africa's construction industry.

The launch will bring together government leaders, industry stakeholders, programme participants and academic partners to mark the start of this important contractor development initiative.

Highlights include welcoming remarks by the Executive Mayor of Mangaung, an overview of the cidb B.U.I.L.D. programme, an introduction to the CCM programme by University of Johannesburg representatives, and a keynote address by the Free State MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure.
