Understanding Attachment Training – The Understanding Attachment training is designed to help participants understand how attachment affects children’s emotional, social and behavioural development. It provides practical knowledge and tools for building stronger, healthier relationships with children, especially those who have experienced difficult or disrupted relationships. The training will focus on: Understanding attachment and its different patterns. Recognising how early relationships influence a child’s emotions, behaviour and development. Understanding the needs of children who have experienced trauma, separation or loss. Learning practical ways to build secure and trusting relationships. Supporting children to develop healthy emotional connections. Strengthening relationships between children, caregivers and families. Applying attachment-informed approaches in everyday care and ministry settings. In short: the training equips caregivers, professionals and anyone working with children with practical tools to better understand why children behave the way they do and how to respond in ways that promote healing, security, healthy relationships and positive development.
