Whilst the historical record is replete with information about SJP "oom Paul" Kruger, the origin and history of the black Kruger descendants and their role in the TransOrange remains unreported. These Black Kruger's stem from the relations Jacob Kruger and his brother Franz Kruger, the sons of Jacob Kruger and Jannetjie Kemp, had with Korana, Rolong, and Tlhaping. It is this branch of the Kruger Genealogical Tree whose role in the Transorangia is overlooked or simply brushed over. Whilst conducting genealogical research as well academic literature review, we came across a trove of publications recording the comings and goings of the Jacob Kruger de jonghe bloodline that walks the soil of the Northern Cape and the greater South Africa who may not even know that there German/Khoi/BaTlhaping ancestors left an indelible mark in the microhistory of South Africa. We will be holding a seminar at the War Museum on Heritage Day, to create social cohesion
