Pulane Nel-Sekepe (often credited as Pulane Palmer) is a South African actress, singer, voice artist and television presenter who rose to fame co-presenting the SABC3 Afrikaans-language lifestyle and magazine programme NAweek.
She was born in the Eastern Cape in 1991 in a town called Magwigi. From primary school all the way through high school Pulane performed in every drama production there was. She also took flute, piano and singing lessons.
During her high school years, she performed at The Aardklop Festival where she won various awards including Best actress in The ATKV national youth competition. After school, she joined 13th Floor, a performing arts ministry, where she did performances all over South Africa for two-and-a-half years.
In 2012, she booked her first show at The National Children's Theatre in the production Goggas. She continued to play the lead female role in Honk Junior, another National Children's Theatre production.
Pulane has also guest-starred in the SABC3 drama series High Rollers and on the SABC1 soap opera Generations. In 2017 she had a starring role in the kykNET & kie sitcom #koelpixels.
In 2018, she had a starring role as sarcastic domestic worker Cecilia in the kykNET sitcom Die Kasteel. In the same year she sang the theme tune for the SABC2 sitcom Die Vlieënde Springbokkie.
She joined OFM’s broadcasting team in 2021, presenting the Central SA Top 30 along with Sam Ludidi.
