Bloemfontein - Powerful Griquas prop Nick Schonert will ply his trade with the Cheetahs from next season.
This comes as blow to the Griquas after losing the services of their Springbok prop Lourens Adriaanse who will be joining the Sharks next season.
Schonert played for the University of Free State in this years Varsity Cup after joining them from The Sharks.
The Griquas will however be without Adriaanse in their crucial Currie Cup fixture against Western Province in Cape Town this weekend.
Adriaanse hasn’t been released from the Springbok squad due to injury concerns with Gurthrö Steenkamp.
The Griquas Springbok utility back Willie le Roux will also make the move from Kimberley to Bloemfontein next year.
