The 2020 matric pass rate is 76.2%.
Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga is announcing the matric results for the class of 2020.
Quality assurance body Umalusi last week gave the department the green light to release the results.
The minister has thus far announced that over 70,000 learners were progressed into the 2020 matric class.
45,272 markers were appointed at 179 marking centres.
8 million papers were printed, while 706 million scripts were marked. 76% of girls passed, 75% boys passed.
