Bloemfontein - Bloemfontein Celtic defender, Ruben Cloete says the world is a lesser place following the tragic murder of Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Mayiwa.
The goalkeeper was fatally shot and in what is thought to have been a robbery at his girlfriends’ house in Vosloorus.
Cloete, a former team mate of Meyiwa at the Orlando Pirates told OFM Sport that Meyiwa was a larger than life character.
Saturday’s big Soweto derby between Kaizer Chiefs and the Buccaneers which was set to take place at the FNB Stadium, has been postponed out of respect for Meyiwa.
Meyiwa played for the senior national team on seven occasions in which he only conceded one goal.
