This, after it was revealed the World Cup Celebration Trophy Tour would be going to Gauteng, the Western Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Eastern Cape.

Free State residents say the World Cup celebrations visiting in their towns would have a positive impact on the locals, as this will provide motivation to the youth to take part in sports.

However, not all residents were disappointed, as some said they understand that the Springboks are fatigued and should be given a chance to be with their families.

A petition has been set up as an appeal to include all in the victory of the Rugby World Cup, and make Bloemfontein a destination for the Springboks World Cup Victory Tour.

Although no Cheetahs players were selected for the squad, the team has strong ties to the Free State.

To sign the petition, go to the OFM Sound of Your Life Facebook page or alternatively follow this link to the OFM website, at www.ofm.co.za.
