Four police stations in the Free State announced their closures on Wednesday due to SAPS members testing positive for the coronavirus.
The latest are the Vredefort and Trompsburg Police Stations that will temporarily be closed down to undergo decontamination to curb the spreading of Covid-19. Once police stations have been decontaminated and given the all clear the community will be informed of its operations.
The Trompsburg CSC will temporarily operate from the Municipality Service Point at 7 Solms Street.
The Vredefort CSC will temporarily operate from the Municipality's Chamber on the corner of Vry Street and Church Street.
The acting Provincial Commissioner of the Free State, Major-General Solly Lesia, and management wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused by these closures.
Earlier on Wednesday OFM News reported the Bethlehem and Sasolburg Police Stations have confirmed that the closure of their stations are due to members testing positive for the coronavirus.
