The Viljoensdrift station is the latest police station in the Free State to announce its closure due to a confirmed case of Covid-19.
According to police spokesperson, Motansi Makhele, employees of the station have been advised to follow strict protocols to curb the spread of the virus.
The police station will be decontaminated. Makhele says the community will be informed once the station is operational again, but will temporarily operate from the NG Church hall next to the town’ post office.

OFM News earlier reported The Bethlehem and Sasolburg Police Stations have also closed their stations due to members testing positive.
